Meet your guide in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park!
After living all over the island I recently moved to Volcano and live across the street from one of the most amazing and dynamic National Parks, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! New tour August of 2019.
After hiking many trails here I was blown away with the diversity, beauty and history in the Park that I often don't get the chance to cover on a normal tour. Also being a certified guide for the Park I am often bombarded with questions from visitors when doing a tour. This tour is budget friendly for families and gives independent types the ability to explore the island at their own pace.
The sights, sounds and smell are like nowhere else on earth as you walk on actual lava (cooled, of course), touch different types and textures of lava. See the beginning of new plant life and the new growth forests. Explore a rain forest and experience steam vents up close and personal.
Let me show you the beauty and diversity of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! Message me for more information and to ask questions.
This tour is completely customized to what you want to see, VNP is over 300, 000 acres, and contrary to what some say 95% is open. There are low difficulty hikes that are like a walk in a park or there are more difficult hikes, depending on what you are comfortable with. I love them all! To see all the major sights takes 3 1/2 hours.
* Visitor Center
* Kilauea Caldera
* Steam vents to enjoy the raw power of the heat beneath our feet, Sulfur vents for the more mobile and adventurous.
* Kilauea Iki Crater, exploring past lava flows and amazing scenery, more difficult due to elevation changes.
* Chain of Craters Road and the sea arch.
* Mauna Ulu, a cinder cone formed over 1774 days of eruption.
* Petroglyph hike for more low incline hiking, interesting longer hike.
* Devastation Trail an easy 1 mile hike.
The duration of this tour is an estimate and can vary based on how much you would like to explore VNP. Remember, this is YOUR tour and it is my goal to give you an experience of a lifetime!
